New Directions Education Launches Apprenticeship for Teaching Assistants
Working in partnership with Employment Training, New Directions Education Limited is pleased to be able to offer training for Teaching Assistants via the Modern Apprenticeship Programme for Teaching Assistants-NVQ Level 3.
Open to teaching assistants who have completed the NVQ level two qualification and work at least 16 hours per week, this modern apprenticeship involves completing six modules over the course of an academic year and provides the assistant with an NVQ level 3.
Course subjects include key skills in Communication, Information Technology, Working With Others and the Application of Number as well as a technical certificate portion.
An approved Assessor will visit the teaching assistants in their workplace to assess their practical competence, knowledge and understanding and they will be required to submit a portfolio to reflect your competence in all areas of the qualification.
The benefits of doing a National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) are vast as they offer students the opportunity to become highly qualified in their field as well as making them more attractive candidates to future employers.
